Full Name:
Bert Augustus Gerobe. Cursed with such vile first and middle names however, he introduces himself as Gerobe. His childhood friends call his Kweh-head.

Age:
20 years old

Race:
Human - or so it seems oh, wait, he's just a human.

Gender:
Male

Date of Birth:
21st of April

Place of Birth:
Daguerro

Residence:
Is always welcome back at home but at current doesn't live anywhere, just travels from inn to inn or kips in his tent.

Class:
Good o' common as muck

Title/rank:
Ranger - bow and arrow

Alignment:
Neutral with good intentions

Occupation:
Currently doesn't have a settled down job, though sometimes helps out scholars with translating ancient text and picks up the odd 'help needed' advertisements in pubs.

Appearance:
Gerobe has short black hair which sticks out in such a way that he gained the nickname 'kewh-head' from his peers. He has unusually delicate and thin eyebrows, and seems to be incapable of gaining any form of beard, not even bum-fluff. He has wide blue eyes so he looks like he's in perpetual mild shock. His nose is long and thin and he has an average sized chin with a slender jawline.
Though skinny and with just above average height, he is reasonably muscled and healthy. His skin is a pale peach colour and slightly wind-beaten and he has several scars riddling various parts of his body, his top thigh especially. His clothe sonceal all those though. He slouches ever-so-slightly though he has been trying to correct his posture.

Attire:
Here's a doodle of his normal attire - http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/3903/220208quickgerobeck2.png

Doesn't have any other attire because he can't fit them in his backpack.

Personality:
Described by old women as thusly-
"Oh that young man, oh yes I remember him dear, he was so polite. Helped out my hubbie with all his books you see. He didn't seem to talk a lot though. Not that that's bad mind, you know what they say, children should be seen and not heard. Hmm? He was twenty? Well he was a nice young lad anyway, you won't hear me say a word against him."
Gerobe has a vivid imagination and an adventurous streak, though he wishes his 'adventurousness' could be applied more easily to people. Whilst his endeavours on the battle field and exploration is exceptional, he has a real problem talking to people, especially strangers.
When confronted with rowdy sellers of goods he burbles something unintelligible, skirts around said person, and runs away asap. Then afterwards immediately regrets it for fears he had been rude. He has enough trouble talking to quiet, patient individuals, but he's always polite even though he says very little. He can talk normally with people he feels safe with/knows properly, but when confronted with a topic he particular adores he could blather on for his country.
Once he starts a job Gerobe likes to follow it through until the end, whether it's fighting a monster or one of his casual jobs that he picks up. Sometimes his determination though can land him in a bit of trouble.
Gerobe is a pretty patient person himself and doesn't often lose his temper, though it's not really a huge affair if he does. His face goes red and he sputters uncontrollable for a moment before storming off to cool his face and regain sanity.
He finds it rather difficult to express his emotions, especially as he tries to uptain other peoples happiness rather than his own. He's an exceedingly naive person but improving all the time.

Beliefs – personal and political:
Doesn't really have any politcal views, he has a bit of a romantic rose-lensed idea of how the town's and cities run.

He likes to think there is a vague higher entity but his religiousness proceeds no further. He also believes in equality on all fronts though again, this his heeded by rose-coloured glasses.

Fears:
Talking to strangers mostly, makes a mountain out of a molehill before he's even approached them.
Frogs and wet amphibious things, oglops are alright though.
Dust.
Failure.

Likes:
Fiction books, especially adventure, though his guilty secret is reading heart-throbbing romances.
Bow practise, any excuse to sharpen up his accuracy and strength.
Seeing people's faces when he's done something to make them happy.

Dislikes:
Hot sunny days, he burns easily.
Having to buy new clothes for himself.
His skinny body, despite the muscles. Not that he's vain, just insecure.

Quirks:
Faints when a frog comes within a metre radius of him. Would probably have a heart attack and die if he ever touched one.
Has green fingers, even though he doesn't really use them.
Is allergic to Muu.

Weapons:
Preferred weapon are his bow and arrows. Has a small knife for emergencies but it's mostly used for cutting wood etcetera. Also has some basic magic skills in his arsenal.

Inventory:
Nothing.

Strengths:
His best physical strength lies in his arms. what with needed to pull back the strong on the bow so often. His mental best is his determination.

Weaknesses:
Takes things to heart too much, so an insult to him is like a kick in the stomach.
His left leg has never been the same since a certain incident, so it's pretty much his achilles heel.

Magic/Abilities:
Can cast 'bad status' magic, which he mostly uses on his own bows. Eg. Slow

Goal:
Wants to see the entire world and get a girlfriend. Hey, he's a normal twenty year old! Also to finally meet his father's parents.

Family:
Mr Archibold Gerobe and Mrs Helen Gerobe are his parents, library assistant and scholar respectively.
Mrs Katherine McLaren is his Grandmother (mother's side) in her second marriage. Her first husband is deceased. Also works at Daguerro library.
Mr Declan Gerobe and Mrs Elizabeth Gerobe are his granparents (father's side). Live in Treno as noble's and haven't since their son Archibold since he married and ran away to Dageurro with his wife. They are aware they have a grandson but have never met him.

Lover:
No lover.

Familiar/Pet:
None again.

History:
Gerobe was born and bred in Daguerro, where he has lived much of life away from the outside world. Growing up his mother was always very protective, making a big fuss about him and getting all panicky after every minor child-realted injury. As a result, by the time Gerobe started nursery he was immediately picked upon by the other children because of his sensitivity and his devotion to his mum. For some children this may have caused them to fight back, but Gerome retreated into a shell and refused to talk.
He gained a best friend by the name of Tobias, and though Gerobe stayed a quite polite individual he built up a bit more self-respect and confidence. Little else happened until they reached ten, the end of their somewhat short education, and Gerobe got taught more specifically about ancient texts and great dusty books of information. During this time Gerobe retained information very well, but quite often his mum found him immersed in some work of fiction nestled inside whatever book her was studying from.
Gerobe lost contact with Tobias along with many of his peers, though they never failed to call him Kweh-head on passing. Managing to borrow aset of bow and arrows from the weapons dealer he practised shooting various objects. At least until he got repimanded and got told to do it outside. Unfortunetly Gerobe had taken this a bit too literally and meandered off Outside, which was the area full of Grand Dragon's and other atrocious monsters.
Gerobe met a young Grand Dragon on one of his many days of arrow practise, and failed to recognise it as the one creature he must never never encounter. He shot it with an arrow which managed to penetrate a weak spot in it's scales. Enraged the young Grand Dragon attacked Gerobe gravelly wounding him, though thankfully someone who had been sent out to look for him managed to get him away from the dragon before any mortal damage was done.
Though he healed successfully he retained a lot of scarring which no amount of magic would remove. Gerobe then loathed his body and loathed his own apparant weakness, becoming determined to strengthen up. Becoming even more distant from his peers he trained laboriously between his studies, and daydreaming of the lands his fiction books provided. If he got strong enough, then he saw no reason why he couldn't explore also!
He tried to leave several times during his teenage years but what with his parents watchful eyes and the security stepped up phenomenally on leaving and entering Daguerro, those particular endeavours failed.
He finally managed to leave a few weeks before his twentieth. Though his parents weren't too happy with his choice they conceded because of his age. Also despite the fact the atrocities Queen Brahne had committed had been over for a long time, the security had only recently lessened. Armed with supplies and a somewhat dusty map he left Daguerro on the regular ship that traveled from there to Lindblum. It took a long time and he was violently seasick, but he eventually made it to Lindblum and proceeded to explore his way around the city. He is now preparing to make his way across the rest of the continent.

The character application is very well done, however, there is something you may want to read to help your history just a bit, for our site is set 4 years AFTER the end of the game:

I would be most happy, however, if you didn't bother reading all the posts below. We have one thing we would like to stay true for the moment: Vivi is alive.

Hell, even if there was a huge sign saying 'Vivi is dead' I'd totally ignore it anyway. XD

And I re-wrote the last part, I hope it's alright now. I hate writing histories, heh.
