I hate lawyers. Thought Natane as the man walked up and down the room preaching how her eyes couldn't possibly have seen the thief in the dead of night to King Zidane. King Zidane knew, as well as half the jury that her eyesight was better than most, and that she had perfect 20-20 vision. This was really getting rather ridiculous, because other than her eyesisht, there was nothing else against putting this man in jail. She looked up at her King, and wasn't surprised to see that he was on the verge of falling asleep. This case had lasted too long, and Zidane was being pushed to the brink of boredom.

"... so how can you be so sure that this is the man that did it Ms. Lightwing?" The lawyer finished.

Natane was getting slightly annoyed. She stood up. "Your Majesty," Zidane woke up with a minor start, "Genltemen of the Jury, would you permit me to show this man just how good my vision is?"

His Majesty obviouly wanted this thing finished with, so he nodded his approval and went back to slouching in his chair drowzily.

Natane searched around the room, searching for some place high and dark. She saw it, in the top most corner, which was very dark, there was a small white ball. Princess Eiko most have been playing with the Moogles in here. Hopefully the ball was not inscribed if that was the case. Queen Garnet would get angry. The ball wasn't really very visible, just a corner of it. Unless you knew what it was already, it would be hard to know it was there if you had anyless then the good vision she had.

She pointed to the corner. "You see that?" she said to the lawyer.
He squinted at it, as did many in the room. "What is that right there in that corner."

"What is what?" said the lawyer, obviously not seeing anthing.

"The white bit. What is that object?"

"The white... oh I see it now." He squinted at it some more. "I don't know, maybe a piece of paper, or perhaps a bit of food?"

"Would you like to know what it is?"

"You can't see that, nobody can."

"Actually, sir, you are mistaken. It is a ball. Probubly thrown up there by a child by some accident. By the lack of dust, I would also say it was done VERY recently."

King Zidane ordered the object to be taken down. After much scrambling for a handyman, and then much more scrambling for a tall ladder. The object was retrieved, and it was indeed a lightly dusty ball.

After that, the jury and the sleepy King founded the man guilty, and he was put to jail. Natane was happy to be of service, as always, but couldn't teel her King, when he inquired, where the Queen was. As she walked out of the room, she couldn't help but smile brightly at the lawyer.

"Next time think of a better story, yah?"
